Long Centric Occlusal

Brief Introduction of Long-centric Occlusal Pattern:

In 2005, Professor Xu Jun from Peking University School of Stomatology (http://ss.bjmu.edu.cn/web2008/web/html/default.aspx)designed long-centric occlusal pattern artificial teeth on the basis of lingual concentrated occlusal type and linear occlusal type. The latitude realization of buccolingual direction of this type is similar to lingual concentrated occlusal type. What is special is that it realizes near to far latitude while guaranteeing masticatory efficiency and natural tooth shape.

Patent Application

There are two different Occlused Surfaces: Nature Teeth & Denture Teeth
(1) The anatomic occlusal surface of nature teeth consists of roots, periodontal membrane and alveolar ridge.
(2) The anatomic occlusal surface of denture teeth consists of denture base and residual ridge.

The two different occlusal surfaces have no similarity in geometry structure, physics property or border conditions. Long-centric Occlusal Pattern is one denture teeth occlusal surface.
